Normandy

While my parents were visiting we took a long weekend and went to Normandy. We saw Arromanches where the artificial harbor was built. We also went to Longues sur Mer and saw the German Battery. Then we headed to the American Cemetery and Omaha Beach. We also visited Pointe du Hoc. The second day we went to the Museum in Caen. It was an amazing weekend. To see where our soldiers fought and died was a powerful experience.
