Time to Pick the Strawberries

Today we headed out of town to pick strawberries. About 30 minutes away is a strawberry farm. It was the same one we visited last year. The kids had a great time. Adam was very into picking as many strawberries as he could. Alden wanted to pick just the right ones. Adalee wanted to eat everything she picked! We got their pretty early and finished picking and paying just as the rain began to fall. For once we had pretty good timing!

Hodge Podge

The pictures below were pretty much taken all last week and last weekend when Alden was feeling better. He definitely has his good moments, but he is most definitely not 100% yet. He had a pretty good day yesterday, but today was mostly bad. Everything we tried to get him to eat he refused. Everything "burns" his throat. I can still manage to get ice cream down him, but that is just about it. I thought by now he should be feeling much better. If he has issues tomorrow I will call his ENT doctor. I am just not sure how he can miss many more meals. He really wants to eat, but cries after each bite because he says it hurts too much.

Adam remembered us doing this for my father when he had his back surgery. We make him a box full of presents that he got to open everyday. Adam was very excited that the presents are his this time!

Adam has done such a nice job lately of swinging Adalee. He is getting to be quite the great big brother to her. He really tries to include her a lot.
