Day #158

We had a rather quiet day today. All things considered that's not so bad. We spent the day playing, cleaning and picking up. I spent the day doing FRG paperwork so I will be ready to leave next week.

Tomorrow is Abrahm and my 6th Anniversary. This time 6 years ago we were at the wedding reception. Boy does that seem like a long time ago. Abrahm sent me a couple of cards (they made it early) and a present. He bought me a gold camel to put on my charm bracelet. I was so surprised and excited. What a super husband! I opened it while we were talking on line today.

Alden's teeth are really bothering him. He gnaws on everything!!! I hope they break through soon for his sake. Adam had fun playing on the porch this evening. He loves to "cook" with the sand.

Another first for the boys tonight. They took their first bath together. Alden was getting pretty crabby at 7:00 and was just about ready for bed. So I went ahead and put him down first tonight. I started running the water for his bath and Adam said "I want a bath too." So I put water in Alden's little tub and water in the big tub and they bathed together. Both enjoyed it I think. Alden spent most of his time trying to catch the duck and watching Adam. Adam spent his time trying to entertain Alden.

So now it's 8:30 and both boys are asleep. For how long? No one knows. But I'll enjoy the time I have now.

Day #156

What a great day we had today. We didn't spent very much time at home, but both boys had fun. We got up early this morning and headed to the doctor. Alden had an appointment to check on his skin. The doctor was pretty good and he gave us some new things to try. Hopefully they'll help. While we were there Adam was super. He sat in his stroller the whole time and waited patiently. I was so proud of him.

Then we were supposed to go to playgroup, but no one showed up, so we ran some errands instead. We went to Fred Meyers and picked up some stuff for Alden the doctor told us to get. Once again both boys were great.

We then headed home for naps. Adam had a good afternoon nap and Alden, well, he slept some. Then we met our friends Tricia and Christopher and Chandler and went to Pioneer Park. We ate dinner, played on the playground, rode the carousel (Adam hated it), rode the train (Adam's favorite) and ate ice cream (a close second!).

We got home kind of late so we were rushing around getting ready for bed. We read our story and then as we were cuddling, Adam said "Mommy I had a fun day." That's the first time he has ever initiated that conversation. I asked him what was so fun and he said "I rode the train" and "Christopher and Chandler played". Then he proceeded to tell me "I want to ride airplane". I told him next week we would. Let's hope he is as excited when the time comes!!!

Day #155

Only 9 more days until we head down to the lower 48. I am slowly but surely getting things together. The thought of packing for all of us is overwhelming at times. I am sure I am going to forget somethings.

Today was my day when Mrs. Suzanne comes to take care of the boys. She usually comes once a week so I can go out and "play" for a few hours. It's such a nice break. Well this week has just been very difficult sleep wise. So when Suzanne got here I handed the boys over to her and went and slept for a couple of hours. It was so nice to get a couple hours of uninterrupted sleep. Thank you Mrs. Suzanne. Then she watched Alden while Adam and I went to lunch together and then to Mrs. Malissa's to see if Peodogi and her dog got along. She is going to keep him for us while we're on vacation. They seemed to tolerate each other just fine, so I think we're a go with the dogs. Yea!!

Tonight Mr. Ross came and cut the grass. It is so nice to have someone I can rely on to help us out. He (and Mrs. Rachel) have been such a blessing to us during this deployment. So Adam was spoiled by his favorite people today. He got to spend time with Mrs. Suzanne and Mr. Ross. What more could a little guy want?
