Our Yard Sale
We had quite a busy weekend. I spent most of last week getting things ready for our yard sale. We decided to sell a lot of baby/children's items. We sold our old stroller, glider, baby bathtub (that all 3 kids used), our exersaucer, jumperoo, lots of baby necessities, toys, and lots and lots of clothes. We made about $900! We still have a few folks coming by to look at more clothes, so hopefully we'll make a little more. Abrahm doesn't really care about the money, he is just excited to get some stuff out of the house! :)

Last night we met up with some old friends. We met Buck and Katie in Korea. At the time he was Abrahm's flight doc and they only had 1 kid. Fast forward almost 10 years. We now have 3 children and they have 5! They have moved to Clarksville now and we were able to have dinner and play. We had such a great evening and the kids really all got along. Thanks Buck and Katie for a yummy dinner and letting our kids terrorize your house! We had a great time.
Our dear friends, Monica and Jimmy, dropped this off at our house last night. When they found out that we were moving to France they found this and picked it up for us. The kids are really excited about learning French (and I am too!). Thanks so much guys for this amazing gift. We really appreciate it. We're going to miss such great friends like you! You better come see us!

Our Trip to DC
Abrahm and I were in Washington DC from Wednesday until Saturday night. We went for the interment of Susie Healy into Arlington National Cemetary. Susie was our former Battalion Commander's wife. He actually returned from the deployment early because her cancer had spread to her liver. She had battled cancer for almost two years before passing away almost a month ago. We had attended her Memorial Service here at Campbell last week and decided to go to DC with several others from our Battalion for her burial at Arlington.
Overall we had a really good trip and were able to spend some time with the Healy family as well as spend some time touring Washington DC. The actual interment was very short, but afterwards we all headed to the Officer's Club at Fort Meyers for an amazing reception. Tim had provided lots of yummy food and drinks and we spent the afternoon laughing and sharing stories about Susie and the deployment. Susie loved to have a good time, so I think she would have approved of us celebrating her in that way.
On Friday, Abrahm and I took the Metro and ran all over downtown Washington taking in the sights and touring one of the Smithsonian Museums.
I want to say a special thank you to my Mom for coming up and taking care of my sick kiddos for those 4 days. We really appreciated you being here and the kids had such a great time with Grandma Jean.

(I had cut my hair for her farewell and dedicated it to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Campaign in her honor that day)
