Trooping the Colour
On Saturday, June 12, I was able to take one of those once in a lifetime trips. My amazing husband set it all up for me without me knowing. What makes it even more amazing is the fact that the weekend this was going on, we had agreed to watch our friends' 17 month old daughter! So he was basically agreeing to keep all 3 of ours and "Baby Kayden" all day long. And by all day I mean from 5:30am until almost 11:00 pm! What a man!
The British officers at the Citadel had arranged a "Cohesion Event" for all of the senior leadership to go to London to see this military Parade before the deployment starts. Well at the last minute one of the Generals couldn't make it, so he offered his ticket to Abrahm. Abrahm being the amazing husband he is, arranged for me to use it. It was unbelievable!
We saw the "Colonel's Review". Basically they have 2 practice runs before the actual birthday celebration the Queen attends. The Colonel's review is exactly like the actual birthday parade itself except instead of the Queen attending, her husband (the Duke of Edinburgh) does. It was spectacular. We had fantastic seats! I could say so much more, but I will let the pictures speak for themself.
