A closeup of some of the figures at the entrance of the Cathedral.
This one has an interesting story. The third guy is St. Dennis. He was a 4th century Roman Bishop. He was beheaded. He got up, tucked his head under his arm and headed North. He stopped and washed it off, and continued to Montmarte. Because of him, Christianity gained ground and a church soon replaced the Pagan temple.
