My guys in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral

The row of 28 men, just below Mary holding Baby Jesus, were known as the Kings of Judah. During the French Revolution, these figures were mistaken as French Kings and the citizens stormed the Church and beheaded them. Since then, they have been restored.

This is in the center of Notre Dame. Mary is in the middle cradling Baby Jesus, Adam is on the left and Eve is on the right.

This one has an interesting story. The third guy is St. Dennis. He was a 4th century Roman Bishop. He was beheaded. He got up, tucked his head under his arm and headed North. He stopped and washed it off, and continued to Montmarte. Because of him, Christianity gained ground and a church soon replaced the Pagan temple.

I fell in love with the stained glass. It was so intricate and beautiful. Unfortunately my pictures just don't do it justice.

This was an enormouse stained glass design at the top of the Cathedral. There were two. One of each side. They were breathtaking. The pictures just don't do it justice.

A very old model of the Cathedral at Notre Dame. These were some of Alden's favorite things he saw. He loved all of the model/minitature buildings. Maybe he's our architect in the making!
