Happy 2 Month Birthday Adalee

Adalee at 2 Months

I can't believe Adalee is already 2 months old! Where has the time gone? She is such a sweetie. I can't imagine our lives without her now. She definately brings the softer side to our house. Abrahm can't pick her up without kissing her! She is doing very well. She is eating and sleeping like a champ. At her doctor's appointment she weighed 12 pounds 9 ounces and was 23.5 inches. She is in the 90th % for both. She is out of all of her 3 month clothes. She is now in 6 month things. She really smiles and talks to us. She has a sweet disposition (most of the time). We finally received her last PKU test and it was negative for Galactosemia. So she officially has a clean bill of health!! Thanks so much for all of your prayers during this ordeal. We're just glad she is healthy and this is finally resolved.

Adalee loves her spit rag as well. She sleeps with it tucked in beside her cheek. If she gets crabby, you just put a spit rag against her cheek and give her a pacifier and she quiets down immediately.

Playing with trains before breakfast one morning. The recall on Thomas the Tank Engine hit our house pretty hard. We had to send 10 of our trains and buildings back to the company. Alden's doctor also wanted him tested for lead poisoning. The results come in next week. If it's not one thing it's another :)

I went in to get her a few mornings ago and her hair was standing up everywhere!!

Alden loves puzzles. He is so proud of himself for completing this 5 piece puzzle all by himself.

Our Sweet Adalee

Well I'd love to tell you we have some resolution on the whole Galactosemia thing, but I'd be lying. We think we're closer than we were, but we just seem to be running into one problem after another. We had the GALT enzyme test done last week and the results were very encouraging. Her levels were within normal range, which means it's highly unlikely that she would have Galactomsemia. But the Genetics clinic wanted to get her results from the 4th PKU test we had done. After calling around and yelling at many people, the genetics clinic found out her 4th PKU test was lost somewhere between here and Topeka. So yesterday morning we took her back to the lab for her 5TH PKU test in 7 weeks!!! Needless to say we're not pleased about this whole situation, but hopefully it will come back negative and we can put all this behind us. So please, once again, say a prayer that her PKU comes back negative this time, so this nightmare will be over.

Time at the Park

Yesterday I took the kids to a new park on Fort Leavenworth. It is a really nice park with lots of slides and swings and things for them to climb on. They had a lot of fun. Even Adalee enjoyed being in the sunshine for a little while.

The Assembly Line

On my way out the door to take Peodogi to the vet today, this is what I came across. Both Alden and Adalee had made packages in their diapers. Abrahm had a little assembly line going to get them changed. What a great Daddy!

Time with Daddy

Sunday mornings are quite hectic around our house. Getting everyone bathed and ready for church can be quite the challenge. Usually the boys just jump in the shower with Abrahm to save time. On Sunday morning Adalee had her first shower with Daddy. She really seemed to enjoy the water hitting her face and head. I just love how big her eyes look in this picture.
