Day #306

Time sure goes slowly when you're doing nothing! Well doing nothing is probably not exactly correct, but doing nothing fun sure is. We have all officially had the tummy bug now. Glad that's over with. Adam got the yuckies yesterday afternoon. He seems pretty good this evening. He even helped me take apart and put back together Alden's crib. Hopefully we get out of the house tomorrow. We're all going a little stir crazy!!! The toys are everywhere and we've watched more TV than I care to admit, but we're hopefully recovered and ready to create more havoc. Seems like the tummy bug is going around. Even some friends of ours in Washington have it.

Other than upset tummys, not much else happening. I do want to say a special thank you to everyone who has helped us out. Mrs. Suzanne made the first grocery run for us and took all my presents and supplies to two baby showers I missed. Mr. Ross and Mrs. Rachel made the second grocery run and cleaned our big blanket that Adam threw up on (they own a laundromat). Tricia and her boys brought us movies, soup, and fun things to play with (she even brought me flowers). I have such wonderful friends who really are there for us when the times get bad (and they were pretty bad). Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I actually spoke with Abrahm today. So nice to hear his voice. Things are starting for redeployment. Still praying for a boat and an airplane, but hopefully things work out and he'll be home in time for Christmas. Please continue to pray for their safety. They have just a few days left of missions and then the flight to Kuwait. Please pray they stay safe and reach their desintations without incident. We're so close :) I'll keep you updated as we know more.

Day #302

Wow! We've made it 300 days. That seems like an accomplishment. Things have been so busy. I keep thinking things have to slow down eventually, but it's just not going to happen. Our weather here has been creating more issues. Several spouses have been having car issues. I keep trying to warn them that I won't come help them start their cars. You would think by now they would have figured it out. We've had about 6 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. I think more is scheduled for the next few days. It's amazing how things work out. This afternoon after naps (and Alden throwing up all over his bed), I was trying to decide when I was going out to shovel all of that snow. About that time, 2 neighborhood kids came by and offered to shovel my drive. They did an amazing job and I paid them a small fee and we were all happy. They said they would come back by after all the big snowfalls. What great kids!!

Happy 10 months to Alden!!! Time sure flies. I can't believe he is pulling up and walking around everything. He is such a busy little guy. He loves to wrestle with Adam. Adam will just be sitting on the floor playing and Alden will come up and attack him. It just cracks me up. Of course Adam loves it and gets a little too excited sometimes. What fun things I have to look forward to.

Well I better go. Adam is crying that his tummy hurts. I thought he was sleeping. I really hope we don't have some tummy bug going around our house. Say a little prayer for us.

Adam's drawing. This is the first person he made all by himself. I was on the computer and he came and got the paper and crayons from me. He brought this back to me to send to Daddy. What a great little artist!! Posted by Picasa

On Sunday it was -15 degrees. So after church and our errands we had hot chocolate and donuts as a snack to warm us up. Posted by Picasa
