For Daddy Take 2
Just a little greeting for Daddy. Not the best but you have to pay attention to Adalee!

Day 236
Well at the moment everyone seems to be feeling better. All 3 went to school today. Overall Adalee did pretty well. She only cried when people came in and out of the door. She also got upset when some kid bit her...twice! She has 2 bite marks on her arm and shoulder. I was pretty upset about it. I know that that can happen sometimes, but I was concerned because the child bit her twice. We'll see if this is a problem or an isolated incident.
I was able to accomplish some work around the house this morning. I am caught up on all my laundry and just need to dust on Thursday. My breathing has been a little tight lately (with all the allergy issues) so I hate to dust and cause more problems for myself. I wish I had a good maid!
As I was typing this entry this evening, Adam came downstairs crying. He was so upset. He just kept saying how much he misses his daddy. These past few weeks have probably been the toughest for me. Abrahm's absence is felt so much more now that we are back in the swing of things and doing some fun things. Adam has always missed Abrahm much more when we are doing something special (starting school and soccer). He just wants his daddy to be here with him. I can't blame him. Me too! Today Adalee started saying "Dada", "Dada", "Dada". I asked her where her Daddy was and she said "Bye, Bye". I thought it was pretty insightful of her to understand that. Since Abrahm has gone back from R and R, Alden has really missed him too. He says several times a day how much he misses his daddy and how he can't wait until after Christmas when his Daddy is coming home "forever". So even though we're getting closer to the end of this deployment, I am reminded daily, that a year is a very long time. I know it's just as hard for Abrahm. I know it's hard to miss all the fun stuff and first days of school and soccer. So please say a special prayer for our family this evening and for all those other families who are going through this same thing. Pray that time will go by quickly and they'll all return safely as soon as they can!

Day 235
We had a better day today. This morning was pretty rough, but by the afternoon life was getting back on track. Adalee's fever (and grumpiness) stayed yesterday. So, this morning I called and got an appointment for her at the doctor. Turns out she has a nasty ear infection. The doc felt she probably had one in both ears, but had a hard time getting a good look in the second ear. Let's just say Adalee wasn't a fan of the doctor's office today. I am so glad to know what it is, but feel so guilty for not taking her to the Emergency Room this weekend. I just didn't want to expose all the kids to more yucky stuff as we sat there for 4 or 5 hours. The doc gave her antibiotics, an antibiotic to drop in her ear, more motrin and a pain reliever for her ear. After a 4 hour nap and some medicine she was much happier. Her fever hasn't spiked this evening, so maybe we're on the road to recovery. She finally wanted to play some this afternoon. It's the first time in almost 4 days that I haven't been holding and carrying her.
The boys are doing well. They are very excited about school tomorrow. I am so glad they love school so much. They are definitely tired of sitting at home with a sick baby. We did manage to play outside a little while Adalee was napping today. They still love swinging and playing in their sandbox. We picked lots of tomatoes and peppers out of our garden. I have a huge bowl full of grape and cherry tomatoes. I am not sure how we can eat so many! My pepper plants also decided to take off as well. I have lots of green and red peppers now. Very exciting.

Day 233
No pictures this time around. We've really not done anything photo worthy the was few days. We are just trying to get back into a routine again.
School is going pretty well. The boys both love their teachers and classes. Alden's teacher is very loving and creative. She always has them doing something fun! Adam's teacher is a little more structured and ordered than he's had in the past. I think it will be great for him before starting Kindergarten next year. Adalee is doing okay as well. She napped on Thursday, but someone was rocking her. We'll see over the next couple of weeks how she does and how good her teachers are.
I started back up with my Mom's Bible Study on Wednesday mornings. We are starting the book, "Power of a Praying Parent." It should be a good study. The kids are enjoying getting to go to church to play and then heading to Chick Fil A with their friends.
Adam started soccer on Thursday. He was very excited to get back into it. We're on a new team with new kids this time. He moved up in age. The coach seems to be pretty relaxed, so hopefully it's a positive experience for him.
Adalee has had a fever for the past 2 days. I think it's just from teething. Her other two molars are cutting through now. She has been very crabby and whiny all day. She just wants me to hold her. Needless to say, the house looks like it! If she is still running a fever on Monday I'll take her to the doctor. Pray it's just teeth and passes quickly!

Day 229
Well today was our first day of school for this year. All three kids are going to our church preschool this year. Adam is technically old enough for Kindergarten, but we have decided to keep him in preschool for one more year. Academically he is very strong, he just needs a little extra time to mature a little. He was very excited about his new school. He went right in and never looked back. His teacher said he was great and was very smart.
This year is Alden's first time going to preschool. He was very excited too. His teacher is amazing and he loved her. He had so much fun in class today. His favorite was his snack. She put that sqeezeable cheese on a plate and gave them pretzel sticks and goldfish. They had to "fish" for their snack. It was a big hit with Alden.
Adalee also started preschool today. I feel quite guilty about sending her so early, so I am not sure how long she will stay. I really can use the time to get some things done, especially since Abrahm is deployed, but I just felt guilty leaving her there all day. She did well. She didn't take a nap though. She was so exhausted she went to bed at 6:30 tonight.
So here's to another busy school year! I hope everyone else's year has gotten off to a good start as well!

All of the backpacks packed and ready to go last night.
