Day 103

We had a pretty good day today. It was preceeded by a very long night though. The kids had a rough night. Adalee was awake off and on all night. Her fever never spiked again, but she was quite restless. Adam woke up crying. He kept saying that his knees and legs were hurting him. So I gave him some motrin and put him back to bed. Alden was awake coughing and wiggling around. I gave him some medicine and he went back to sleep. He actually slept until 7:30 this morning!

I took Adalee to the doctor first thing this morning. Surprise, surprise, there was nothing wrong. The nurse said it was just a "fever virus" and to come back at the end of the week if the fever wasn't gone. She had a small fever this morning, but by this afternoon the fever was gone. She was still very crabby though. I am not optimistic she is going to rest well tonight. Since I was at the doctor's office, Gay took the boys to their swim class. I met them there to watch them swim. Both boys are doing very well. Adam is ready for the next class the instructor said. Alden is finally starting to show a little coordination. He's even able to tread water with his "backpack" on now.

After swimming we headed home to pick up Grammy's bags and move carseats around again. Then we headed back to Nashville to take Grammy to the airport. This is the first time in over 2 weeks the boys have been Grandparent free. I think they will have major withdrawals! :)

This afternoon, everyone napped and then we spent the rest of the afternoon outside. We then ate dinner, took naps, and headed to bed. I really hope everyone rests better because I could sure use a good night's sleep!

Day 102

We had a busy day today. We took Adam to school and then I went to get my teeth cleaned. Boy, what fun that was! I haven't been to the dentist in over a year so I really needed a good cleaning. Afterwards my mouth was killing me and I was sick as a dog from the flouride treatment, but all in all not a terrible visit :)

After the dentist I picked up Adam from school and then we all headed back to Paducah and picked up the vehicle that was having issues.

When we got home, Adalee had a fever of 102. She typically doesn't run a fever, so I am not sure what's wrong. She seems to have no symptoms other than being really crabby. She is very whiny and clingy. We have an appointment in the morning at the doctor's office so hopefully they will have some answers. She has had a rough couple of nights' sleep, so I am praying she rests well tonight.

I did have an exciting first tonight. I used the parsley out of my garden to make yummy crab cakes for dinner. I was very excited as I was cutting it. The crab cakes were yummy and I felt so good to know something came out of my garden!

Tomorrow we have swim class, a doctor's appointment and we take Grammy Gay back to the airport. So it should be another crazy day!

Day 101

Another busy day here in Tennessee! We got up early and headed down to Nashville. We went to Centennial Park. We had a great time. There was so much to see and do. They had fountains and ducks and flower gardens and bridges and swings and playgrounds and buildings, oh my! They even had a replica of the Parthenon. I think it's actually an art exhibit, but it was beautiful to climb around on the outside. We packed a picnic lunch and had our lunch in the park. We even made it back to our car before the rains came down!

After the park we went to Opry Mills. We looked around and ate dinner at the Aquarium restaurant. Overall for no real naps the kids did great! They really had a fun day. I'll definitely be going to Centennial Park again. It's so beautiful and the kids were really having fun there. I took some amazing pictures of the kids, but you'll have to be patient and wait to see them until later!

Day 100

100 days down! It's amazing to me that we have made it to the 100 day mark already. Some days it seems like an eternity. Some days it seems he was here only yesterday. I have never missed someone so much in all my life. I miss everything about Abrahm. I miss him being here playing with the kids. I miss having someone to cuddle up to in the evening after the kids have gone to bed. I miss my best friend. Hopefully, if things go the way we hope, we only have 300 more to go! We should be about 1/4 of the way done. That just doesn't sound like much to me. Abrahm, I miss you and love you more than you can imagine. Stay safe and come home soon! We're waiting patiently (well not so patiently) for you to come home!

Day 99

Let's just say we've had better days. The day started out great. The kids were good. Gay had gone to her quilting show in Paducah. All of us enjoying the day. After lunch all heck broke loose. Adam didn't nap at all, Alden and Adalee took extremely short naps, and I spent the afternoon fighting between Blanchfield Army Hospital, Tricare and Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. We still have no resolution to that issue, but hopefully by Monday.

I tried to get dinner together for about an hour or so, but Adalee was screaming (pretty unusual for her) and the boys were running wild! So finally I threw my hands up in the air and headed to pick up take out. We ate dinner at home and got everyone ready for bed. Just as things were beginning to look up, I received a call from Grammy Gay saying the car (our Jeep) broke down on the side of the road on her way back from Paducah. She's about 70 miles from here. She's waiting for AAA as I type. Still not sure what we're going to do, but I am sure we'll figure out something. So all in all a pretty yucky day. Let's pray tomorrow is a little better!

At Sunday School this past week Adam and Alden celebrated Creation Sunday in Children's Church by planting a seed in a recycled container. A couple of days ago they started poking through the soil. I am not sure what they planted, but the boys are excited about watching them grow!
